A nail-biting problem.

In Rishi’s words.

  1. Rishi tries to work a regular nail clipper with one hand on a cutting mat

I tried a regular nail clipper. That did not work.

  2. I tried biting them. Also not great.

  3. A friend who has no hands sits at the table next to the nail clipper and looks away

So I asked a friend for help. Great idea, Rishi.

Then I went online and found thousands of 3D-printable designs for everyday problems. One was a one-handed nail clipper holder. I printed it, and it works.

How it works.

  1. The nail clipper holder standing on a table

    1Set it down.

Put a standard-size clipper in the holder and stand it on a table.

  2. A fingertip placed under the jaws of the clipper in the holder, seen from above

    2Slide your nail in.

Place your fingertip under the jaws of the clipper.

  3. Fingers press down on the clipper lever while the holder keeps it steady

    3Press.

Push the lever down. The holder keeps the clipper steady.
